Had a nice family lunch here. The decor is very nice, nice location by the sea, and the staff were friendly on arrival to get us seated. Family members remarked on how nice and comfortable the chairs were. I had calamari and garlic bread to start and spaghetti carbonara which I always have when I go to an Italian restaurant for the first time as a benchmark. Other family members had lasagne, meat cannelloni, spaghetti bolognese, and the linguine with prawns and moreton bay bugs. The food was tasty, very generous portions, and came out quickly. I’d characterise it as good home style cooking but not on the same level as higher rated Italian restaurants I’ve been to in Brisbane or Sydney in the city. Service was good overall but slightly inconsistent, we found ourselves having to flag the wait staff a few times despite it not being too busy. However they were always friendly and accommodating once we got their attention, and our requests were serviced in a timely manner. Overall we had a good experience and would be happy to come back here again.

I was vey disappointed by Mamma’s. When it first opened years ago it was quite nice. It seems the quality has gone down. Despite the name, the Italian food doesn’t feel authenticate at all. I ordered a carbonara and it came with cream and bacon. Authenticate carbonara never has either. Maybe I was mistaken on what I saw but I’m quite certain it was cream and bacon. Further - it didn’t taste great and was nauseatingly heavy. The food came out in 5 minutes which makes me very suspicious on the freshness of it all. The prices were that of premium Italian. We also booked a table for 3 and got a tiny round table. It was very cramped. There is no place to hang or put down a bag, so your possessions just sits on the floor. In peak summer, they have the sides wide open instead of closing them and running aircon, so I’m sweating to insane levels. I have never been so uncomfortable and disappointed in a meal - if the food isn’t authenticate and I’m not comfortable, why would I leave home to eat? I know this is harsh but it just felt the restaurant fell short on every metric for me 😔

We went to mummas to try something new. We had the focaccia cipolla, lasagne and scaloppini alla pizzaiola which were all lovely. The staff were very friendly.

Had a wonderful day at Mamma's on mothersday, the staff were very accommodating and the service was fantastic despite it being a very busy day.. Tried a variety of items across the menu and everything was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be back.

This Italian restaurant faces strong competition, and it can hold its own. It was very crowded when we visited, possibly because it was the Mother's Day weekend. We started with the Antipasto platter. The selection of meats and cheeses was generous. That built up our appetite for the main course. The wait was long but worth while. We each ordered different main dish, including the traditional (and boring?) spaghetti Bolognese and scallopini veal. The food did not disappoint. We left the restaurant very satisfied.
